70MillionJobs chosen as a Finalist for SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event

70MillionJobs will present among four other finalists in the Social and Culture Technologies category of the Startup & Tech Sectors Track.

We are humbled and excited to announce that we have been chosen among 600 applicants to be one of 50 finalists in the South by Southwest® Accelerator Pitch Event. The event spans across 10 categories, and we will be showcasing in the Social and Culture Technologies category — as the first for-profit recruitment platform for the 70 million Americans with criminal records.

The SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event is the marquee event of South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference & Festivals (March 9–18, 2018) Startup & Tech Sectors Track. We will pitch our company in front of a live audience and selected judges, followed by a Q&A. We will be represented by our CEO/founder Richard Bronson:

“We’re thrilled to be part of SXSW,” said Richard, “Almost everyone knows someone with a record, and they know that effectively means a life sentence as long as there’s a Google search to check backgrounds. Our goal is to land one million jobs for folks with records and help repair their lives, their families and their communities.”

Wish us luck!
